Municipal Court is held the first Thursday of each month at 6:00pm at City Hall, 212 W. Washington Street, Oskaloosa, KS. In addition to court fines, each defendant must pay court costs. City Ordinance No. 2013-9-112 establishes such costs at $108.00 effective 04/14/16.
The City patrol staff are also in charge of the City's Code Enforcement. Code Enforcement consist of weeds/grass, yard conditions, structure conditions, abandoned vehicles, nuisances, etc. Patrol staff will issue code violation notifications to residences with a deadline for compliance. All non-compliance issues will be forwarded to the City Attorney for court action.
THE CITY OF OSKALOOSA POLICE DEPARTMENT IS UNDER THE DIRECTION OF PAUL K. BOLINGER. PAUL HAS BEEN A PATROL OFFICER FOR THE CITY SINCE 2008 AND WAS PROMOTED TO CHIEF IN 2013.
